The number of young people infected with an STI in Wales is on the rise. A report from Public Health Wales (2012) showed an increase in people catching chlamydia, syphilis and HIV, with North Wales containing the highest number of people with an infection. A team from Flintshire is concerned that not only are young people ignoring the long-term health effects of sexual infections, they are also not seeking treatment quickly enough. They want this to change!
